Each set contains a unique set of rooms and hallways that can be randomly generated, as well as its own artifacts and SCPs. These rooms are divided into three sets: the light containment zone, heavy containment zone, and entrance zone. All of the rooms in the game are randomly chosen from a set of hallways, chambers, and offices, which are strung together to create the facility. One of the game's primary features is randomly generated rooms. Another one of these SCPs are SCP-096, which when viewed will hunt the player around the map and it is only affected if viewed by its face. Certain environments (such as rooms filled with decontamination gas) will cause the player to blink more often. 173, along with other SCPs, must be evaded by D-9341 to avoid death, which is made more difficult by the player needing to blink periodically, enabling SCP-173 to attack if it is nearby. The player is pursued by numerous hostile SCPs chief among these is SCP-173, a concrete statue capable of moving at high speeds when it is not directly observed. If the player refuses to leave their cell, they will be terminated by poisonous gases. The player controls a 'Class-D' also known as 'Benjamin Oliver Walker' (a level 4 researcher caught doing illegal research on an SCP known as 'spiral gestalt'), designated D-9341 as he attempts to escape an underground research and containment facility operated by the SCP Foundation amidst a total containment breach of its hazardous anomalies, designated 'SCP's. The participant has thereby murdered shortly after. Another alert is sent out advising all employees to return to Gate B, using a group of soldiers converging on the participant’s position. The second end occurs if the participant had disabled the nuclear warheads while they were inside the center. However, the transmission is cut-off mid sentence because a massive roar is heard, indicating that the atomic blast was ineffective in destroying SCP-682. In the end display, a radio transmission will be viewed as a receiver operative requests the installation of a task force to scout for remains at ground zero. Soon after, the warheads are detonated, vaporizing the whole area, such as D-9341. Upon reaching the surface, an alert is sent out saying that SCP-682, an enormous reptilian monster, has broken from the centre near Gate B and that nuclear warheads, kept at the foundation as a last-measure containment system, will be detonated in an attempt to destroy it. The first and second end can be reached by exiting the facility through Gate B. Survival chances remain low when moving face to face with the MTF) This gives the participant the chance to escape (in ordinary circumstances the player would need to hide or be immediately killed by the gunfire unless they possess a high-value vest. After using this system, MTF (Mobile Task Force) Components or NTF (Nine Tailed Fox) parts could be put into the facility while Subject D-9341 is drifting from the ‘Entrance Zone.’ The parts will immediately open fire on D-9341 should they come into contact with him. These include a gas mask that could shield the eyes from decontamination gas, batteries that may be used to power particular electronics found throughout the centre, key cards which range from accessibility levels 1 to 5 which can open increased safety doors, first aid kits that could cure wounds, an S-Navigator that could be used to browse the rooms at the centre, a radio that can pick up transmissions from different stations, eye-drops which could slow down the player’s blink timer, and SCP-294 that’s found in the cafeteria. On the way, the player can get a huge array of items.
